April Staff Spotlight

Congratulations to Kate Dobson (she/her/hers), our Spotlight Award winner for April! Kate is our Volunteer Department Intern, and she has been with us since January of this year. She has stepped up to the plate and done outstanding work over the last four months. Our entire teams is grateful for her work and the positive energy she brings to the center! Kate

was matched with IYG through her Master of Social Work practicum, and she insists she could not have picked a better fit. "I have felt so welcomed at IYG from day one by staff, volunteers, and youth," she adds. "Beyond that, I feel encouraged and supported to learn and hone my skills, which has only made me more enthusiastic to enter the social work field." Work and classes currently take a significant amount of her time; however, when she's free, Kate loves to spend time with friends, involve herself with her neighborhood association, and gleefully binge reality dating shows.
