June Staff Spotlight

Writer's picture: IYG CommunicationsIYG Communications

Congratulations to Valerie Murphy (she/her/hers) for being selected as IYG's Spotlight Award winner for June! Val is one of amazing and dedicated case managers who works with our Project Prism clients. She first joined our team in late January of this year, and she brought with her over thirty years of experience in case management. Her professional background includes everything from children and family services to behavioral wellness and substance use rehabilitation. Valerie has a special passion for working with young people. She says, "I love to watch kids from all walks of life grow and become leaders for the future." It is this passion that brought her to IYG, where she loves having the opportunity to provide clients with their basic needs and getting them off the streets. She also loves that IYG gives these youth a safe place to gather and express themselves. Val also adds that she loves "the whole time working together to make a difference. It is a pleasure to come to work every day knowing you are playing a small part in making a difference to someone in need." Away from the center, Valerie loves spending time with her family and pursuing pastimes like singing, dancing, cooking, and roller skating
