IYG is proud to partner with Jameson Camp for another summer of Queer Camp! This year there will be TWO different weeks you can choose from! Activities for both weeks of camp will be the same, but now, you have the option to choose the week that fits best in your schedule! This overnight camp will offer all the fun and experiences you'd expect from an overnight summer camp customized to meet the needs and interests of queer teens (ages 12-17). Archery, arts/crafts, swimming, and climbing are just a few of the activities campers will be able to participate in. The camp will also provide meals and snacks, and, in most cases, can accommodate dietary and allergy requests. Like IYG, Queer Camp is a safer spaces for young people to socialize, build community, and just be themselves!

Financial aid is available, including sliding-scale aid based on household size and income, and additional awards.

New for 2024, the link below includes a calculator so that families can see the price for a week for a week of camp before starting the registration process. Jameson Camp aims to provide a week of camp to every young person interested in attending and will do everything they can to eliminate cost as a barrier to participation.

Support Queer Camp.

The outpour of community support we have received over Queer Camp has been outstanding! We and our partners at Jameson Camp are so grateful for all the kind words and offers of support. Truly, the number of social media shares and registrations we have received since Friday have exceeded our wildest expectations. Therefore, we are requesting your support to make this camp accessible to all youth regardless of their family’s financial means.

It costs $750 to send one youth to Jameson’s overnight camp for one week. Of that cost, $625 is the typically passed on to families. However, through our partnership, we can offer this experience for just $15 per camper without making any cuts or sacrifices to the experience. That is why we are asking those who are able to make a tax-deductible contribution to the camp scholarship pool. Many youth can only ever dream of taking part in a fun, enriching, and affirming program like Queer Camp – but, with your support, this dream can become a reality to numerous Indiana youth. Will you join us in making dreams come true with a contribution today?
